Job summary

Allstate seeks a Senior Trial Attorney to defend insureds and the Company in bodily injury and property damage cases, with mediation, arbitration, and occasional trials. You will also counsel business clients and coordinate across legal teams.

The role requires a Juris Doctorate and California Bar, 4+ years of litigation experience, and comfort working remotely with travel for California trials. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven litigation experience or similar skills with ability to handle complex disputes under pressure.
• First or second chair jury trial experience.
• Insurance defense experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and online research.

Responsibilities

• Represents insured individuals and the Company in bodily injury and property damage defenses.
• Prepares for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Develops and presents pre- and post-trial motions.
• Collaborates with colleagues to resolve calendar conflicts and support business clients.
• Manages projects and coordinates with legal teams to ensure timely outcomes.
• Monitors laws and regulations; provides counsel on legal impacts for business units.
