Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Sr. Trade Compliance Legal Consultant to join the Trade Legal & Compliance (TLC) organization, supporting classification, licensing, and transactions. Deep expertise in U.S. export controls is required to guide cross-functional teams.

This contingent role is an eight-month engagement with the start of December, remote with a two-day-per-week in-office requirement, and potential collaboration across AMER, EMEA, and APJC regions.

Qualifications

• JD required with active bar admission in good standing.
• 7–10 years of global trade compliance and export controls experience.
• Deep expertise in EAR, CCL Categories 3, 4, 5 and familiarity with SCOMET/EU Dual-Use.
• Experience in M&A export due diligence and BIS/SCOMET filings.
• Strong cross-functional project management and ability to translate regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal SME and workflow coordinator for global dual-use export classification across AMER, EMEA, APJC.
• Lead technical project execution for four regional trade compliance specialists with SOPs.
• Draft and track export license applications under EAR and international regimes; coordinate with Empowered Officials for submission.
• Perform advanced classification reviews and CCATS drafting with HS tariff support.
• Conduct due diligence for corporate M&A and provide risk assessments to counsel.
