CommScope seeks a Trade Compliance Analyst to support end-to-end export compliance operations, including USMCA administration, export controls, classification, (GTS/ECS), and audit readiness.


This role will involve USMCA qualifications, ECCN/HTS determinations, ACE reporting, and data validation to ensure governance and regulatory compliance across North America and global regions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, international trade, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in trade compliance or export operations or 5+ years in trade compliance.
  • Knowledge of USMCA, EAR, ECCN, TAA, HTS, CO determination and trade compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform USMCA qualifications and re-validations.
  • Coordinate documentation and determinations for shipments.
  • Conduct TAA qualification evaluations and support reviews.
  • Perform restricted and denied party screenings.
  • Assign ECCNs and HTS and remediate classifications.
  • Run ACE reports and assist with audit preparation.
  • Review shipments in GTS/ECS and maintain logs.
  • Conduct sanction screenings and data validation.

Job description

General Summary

The Trade Compliance Analyst supports end-to-end export compliance operations, including USMCA administration, export controls, classification, (GTS/ECS), and audit readiness.


Key Responsibilities

USMCA Compliance


  • Perform USMCA qualifications and re-validations

  • Conduct material value calculations and COO determinations

  • Coordinate solicitations and follow-up documentation

  • Provide ad hoc USMCA support for shipments and business needs


Export Controls & Screening


  • Conduct TAA qualification evaluations and support BAA reviews

  • Perform restricted and denied party screenings (RPLS/DPL)

  • Assign ECCNs & HTS and remediate missing classifications


ACE Portal & Reporting


  • Run and interpret ACE reports to support compliance monitoring

  • Assist with data validation, history reviews, and audit preparation


System Governance (GTS/ECS)


  • Review and approve shipments in COMM Ship

  • Maintain the GTS RTS log and resolve RTS holds

  • Perform ECS site cleanup and compliance reviews

  • Validate Vendor End User Certifications (EUCs)

  • Conduct sanction screenings


Audit & Reporting


  • Prepare Business Objects reports and conduct data analysis

  • Complete the Annual Conflict Minerals DPS

  • Assist with audit documentation and compliance governance

This role ensures regulatory compliance, maintains shipment flow, and supports internal stakeholders through accurate documentation, analysis, and operational oversight.

Required Qualifications for Consideration


  • Bachelor's degree in business , Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field preferred and 2+ years of experience in trade compliance or export operations or 5 or more years’ experience in trade compliance or export operations

  • Knowledge of USMCA, EAR, ECCN, TAA, HTS, Country of Origin determination and trade compliance regulations

  • Experience with SAP GTS/ECS or similar systems is beneficial

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong problem ‑ solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across cross functional teams.


This position may be based remotely in North Carolina or Texas, depending on candidate location and business needs. The role regularly supports stakeholders across North America and global regions, including EMEA and APAC. To facilitate effective collaboration, preference will be given to candidates who reside in or can support business hours aligned with the Easter, Central, or Mountain Time Zones. Candidates should be comfortable working across multiple time zones and maintaining schedule flexibility when needed to support global business operations.


While onsite candidates in NC or TX are preferred, highly qualified candidates with the required trade compliance expertise may be considered based on business needs. The successful candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with teams across the United States, Mexico, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions and demonstrate flexibility in supporting stakeholders across multiple time zones.
