Vectra AI is seeking a Sr. Security Researcher to drive cutting-edge threat research across network, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will study attacker techniques, collaborate with data science, and help shape product detection capabilities through sample creation and validation.

You will be involved in ongoing efficacy testing, producing actionable analyses, and delivering remediation recommendations while engaging with customers and internal teams to advance security research excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security testing or security research
• Experience with attack simulation and threat actor TTPs
• Strong programming and scripting skills (Python)
• Knowledge of network protocols and traffic analysis
• Experience with malware analysis and incident response
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsabilités

• Research attacker TTPs to stay current as a subject matter expert
• Develop detection capabilities with data science teams
• Test detection efficacy, produce gap analyses and remediation guidance
• Replicate attacker techniques to create samples for detection development
• Explore topics in network, cloud, and hybrid environments and educate customers
