Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Senior Technical Documentation, Parts and Annotation Specialist for a remote contract role. You will convert engineering drawings and BOMs into precise manuals, identify replacement parts, and interpret production patterns to support manufacturing documentation.

You'll collaborate with project teams remotely, deliver high-quality annotated data for AI training, and articulate your expert reasoning in written form to support model learning and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Experience translating engineering drawings and BOMs into precise assembly procedures.
• Ability to identify and document industrial parts using photos, catalogs, or nameplates.
• Skill in interpreting production patterns and markers for manufacturing contexts.
• Proven QA experience for image annotations against project ontologies and guidelines.
• Ability to produce clear, defensible rationales and document expert reasoning for model training.

Responsibilities

• Transform engineering drawings and BOMs into precise, dependency-correct assembly procedures for manuals.
• Identify, verify, and document industrial replacement parts from photos and catalogs, ensuring correct fitment.
• Interpret production patterns and markers for apparel or industrial fabrication, validating layout efficiency.
• Conduct QA reviews on annotated image batches against project ontologies and guidelines.
• Produce clear rationales for decisions and capture expert reasoning for model training purposes.
• Review and refine real-world documents, patterns, or data, delivering outputs to senior practitioner standards.
• Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and submit deliverables on time through digital platforms.
