Role focuses on analyzing assemblies, formulating challenging questions, and documenting exact answers from CAD models with clear traceability. Remote work available in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience creating multi‑part assemblies.
• Mastery in at least one major CAD tool (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion, Onshape, or Solid Edge).
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or leading design reviews or teams.
• Expertise in design intent, assembly reasoning, mechanism and kinematic analysis, and GD&T/tolerance judgment.
• Background in industrial machinery, robotics, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or tooling design.
• Excellent written English communication for documentation and reports.
• Bonus: FreeCAD experience or formal design review leadership.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and dissect multi‑part mechanical assemblies to identify design decisions and failure points.
• Formulate challenging technical questions that test real‑world mechanical judgment.
• Validate and document defensible, exact answers from CAD models with traceability.
• Review AI‑generated outputs and suggest improvements to mechanical reasoning.
• Flag ambiguous or unanswerable questions and refine them for clarity.
• Document edge cases and sources of disagreement for verifiability.
• Communicate findings in clear written and verbal form to support project progress.
