Job summary

Archer Lewis, LLC seeks a Senior Tax Manager in Anchorage in a hybrid, remote-capable role. You will oversee complex tax engagements, manage client relationships, and lead tax staff while supporting firm leadership on strategy and growth.

You’ll collaborate with leadership, handle high‑level tax planning, and help transition clients as the firm scales. A CPA and 7+ years in public accounting are required.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in public accounting with strong tax technical expertise.
• Demonstrated success managing tax engagements and client relationships.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment while collaborating with a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex tax engagements for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Manage client relationships and serve as main contact for assigned clients.
• Mentor and supervise tax staff with training and feedback.
• Assist principal in firm operations, workflow, and client transitions.
• Participate in succession planning by expanding an existing client base.
• Research and apply current tax laws for compliance and planning.
• Contribute to business development and firm growth initiatives.
