Mercer Advisors in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Sr. Tax Associate to join our Tax Team. You will deliver income tax returns, projections, and analysis for high-net-worth clients with a focus on client service, not billable hours. A flexible work-from-home arrangement is available, with periodic office visits for collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of public accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting, strong tax knowledge, and excellent communication. CPA/EA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Moderate tax code knowledge and general accounting skills.
• CPA and/or EA preferred.
• Master’s in Tax is a plus.
• Experience with CCH Axcess, Workflow and Practice, and SafeSend is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong time management.

Responsabilités

• Prepare tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts and businesses.
• Create quarterly estimates and projections.
• Communicate clearly with clients on tax return delivery.
• Perform tax research and respond to questions and notices.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure timely workflow and data integrity.
• Stay up to date on tax law changes and explain impacts to clients.
• All other duties as assigned.
