Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design and analyze satellite and aerospace systems with a focus on system modeling and analysis. This role covers the full development lifecycle from requirements through operations.

The candidate will bring strong engineering skills and experience with MATLAB/Simulink, STK, DOORS, and Python, and collaborate across multi-functional teams to support roadmap and mission success. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related scientific areas; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 9 years with Bachelor's or 7 years with Master's in aerospace hardware systems.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, STK, DOORS, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze Airbus U.S. satellite systems with emphasis on system modeling and analysis.
• Perform system design studies and develop engineering models in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Support roadmap development and spacecraft customization processes.
• Lead cross-functional planning and design activities across programs or missions.
