Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for satellite and aerospace system design. Remote US-wide role with preferred sites in Arlington, VA; Denver, CO; Merritt Island, FL.

You will model, analyze, and verify system requirements across the full lifecycle, driving cross-functional collaboration and advanced space technologies. Requirements include 9+ years in aerospace with a STEM degree (Master’s preferred), proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, STK, and DOORS,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM or related scientific area; Master’s preferred.
9+ years of experience with aerospace hardware systems from concept to operations.
Familiarity with space mission architectures and launch/operations concepts.
Experience using MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and STK for modeling and analysis.
Knowledge of DOORS and requirements verification/traceability.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze Airbus satellite systems; perform system modeling and trade studies.
Develop and maintain engineering models in MATLAB/Simulink; STK scenarios.
Coordinate with stakeholders; support requirements verification and validation.
Contribute to program management tasks; roadmap alignment for future missions.
