Job summary

Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is seeking an Attorney IV to support high-exposure files, summarize discovery and medical records, and defend depositions. You will perform legal research, motions, and trial support, including 2nd chair roles as needed.

The role requires 5+ years as a licensed attorney with 3+ years in insurance defense; 10+ years preferred. Travel up to 20% is possible, and a strong track record in expert witness discovery is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires a law degree and admission to the bar.
• Minimum five years as a licensed attorney; three plus years in insurance defense.
• Preferred ten plus years; insurance defense BI trial experience.

Responsibilities

• Summarizing discovery responses and medical records within 30 days of office receipt.
• Taking and defending depositions of parties, lay witnesses and expert witnesses; summary within 15 days.
• Law and Motion: legal research; preparation of motions and oppositions; court appearances.
• Trial support: prepare trial documents, motions in limine, and support attorney in trial.
• Work independently with strong organization to manage high-volume cases.
