Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to act as a senior quality liaison for allocated suppliers, ensuring conformance to quality, technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

You will support supplier performance across the procurement lifecycle, including qualification, surveillance, product acceptance, quality documentation, and corrective actions. Opportunities for travel exist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in supplier quality or related fields.
• Experience conducting supplier audits with domestic and international suppliers.
• Experience in a regulated industry.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001-based quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Be a primary quality liaison with suppliers and teams to support supplier qualification, audits, surveillance, and QSL compliance.
• Lead supplier inspections and approve quality plans and requirements, procedures, inspection/test plans, and manufacturing documentation.
• Ensure supplier quality programs meet nuclear, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Evaluate product conformity and authorize Quality Releases (QRs/CQRs) for supplier-delivered products and services.
• Lead resolution of supplier nonconformances, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and recovery efforts.
• Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Project teams to ensure compliant, on-time delivery.
• Drive supplier performance improvement plans through metrics analysis, risk assessment, and continuous improvement programs.
• Provide quality performance reporting and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Mentor and support Supplier Quality Engineers through technical guidance and best-practice sharing.

About The Role

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be a senior quality liaison for assigned suppliers, ensuring compliance with Westinghouse quality, technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements. You will support supplier performance throughout the procurement lifecycle, including qualification, surveillance, product acceptance, quality documentation, and corrective actions. You will ensure the delivery of compliant, high-quality products and services for nuclear new plants and operating fleet programs. As a senior member of the team, you will help establish best practices, mentor less experienced engineers, and lead continuous improvement across the supplier quality organization.

You will report to the Manager, Major Mechanical Supplier Quality. This a remote position based in the United States. We will require you to travel 30-40% both domestic and international.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Nuclear Quality.
• Exposure to conducting supplier audits, surveillance, and assessments with both domestic and international suppliers.
• Experience working in a regulated industry.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001-based quality systems

Preferred

• Working knowledge of nuclear quality standards (NQA 1, 10 CFR 50 App B, 10 CFR 21, ASME Section III).
• Experience supporting major mechanical equipment (e.g., heavy forgings, pressure vessels, cranes, modules, and rotating equipment).
• Prior experience in nuclear new plant or large capital projects.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
