Job summary

WCG Clinical, Inc. is seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to develop, validate, and document SAS programs for SDTM/ADaM datasets and outputs for regulatory submissions. You will lead programming activities, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality across studies.

You will collaborate with statisticians, data managers, and clinical teams to meet project requirements, troubleshoot issues, and drive process improvements in a remote US-based role.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of SAS programming experience.
• R programming experience highly preferred.
• 2 years of macro programming experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, vaccines, biotech, or medical device industry.
• Experience across Phase 1–4 clinical trials.
• Deep knowledge of CDISC requirements.
• Understanding of SAP programming specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and document SAS programs for clinical trial datasets (SDTM, ADaM) and outputs for regulatory submissions.
• Lead programming activities and manage resources, timelines, and priorities for studies and projects.
• Conduct quality control checks and peer reviews on programming deliverables.
• Collaborate with statisticians, data managers, and clinical teams to meet requirements.
• Troubleshoot programming and data issues and ensure timely data reporting.
• Coordinate multiple projects, set strategic goals, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Mentor junior programmers on industry standards and best practices.
• Provide expertise in interpreting SAP programming specifications and project documentation.
• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for programming activities.
