Job summary

Collins Aerospace's ARINCDirect team is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to automate and improve the reliability of our infrastructure. You will work with engineering teams to design, deploy, and maintain scalable, resilient systems in a remote U.S. setting.

Candidates should have a STEM degree with extensive experience, hands-on Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools. You will own monitoring, incident response, capacity planning, and help drive GitOps and declarative infrastructure

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent with extensive experience in SRE/Platform Engineering.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; no immigration sponsorship offered.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX environments and large, complex infrastructure; Docker and Kubernetes proficiency.
• Automation of configuration/infrastructure using SaltStack, Ansible, or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Automate and improve reliability while keeping infrastructure resilient and reproducible.
• Maintain service availability, performance, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning.
• Define data-driven environments for resource allocation and capacity planning.
• Move toward Kubernetes and declarative infrastructure; support ARINCDirect platform growth.
• Collaborate with SRE and cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions.
