Smart IMS Inc. is seeking a Sr. Database Architect/Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SQL Server-based systems in a remote work setting. You will drive high availability, performance tuning, and scalable data solutions for critical corporate applications.

The role requires hands-on expertise, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure reliability and performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 14+ years of experience in relevant database roles.
• 8+ years MS SQL Server Administration.
• Experience with PTO and native monitoring tools.
• Backups, restores and recovery models experience.
• HA options for SQL Server and DR options.
• Failover clustering and SAN replication experience.
• SQL Server replication (merge/peer-to-peer/ transactional).
• Experience with ORM tools (LINQ, Entity Framework, NHibernate).
• Experience with Service Broker.
• Experience with SSAS/SSIS/SSRS.
• Proficient T-SQL and C# coding; building from scratch.
• Troubleshooting reports data issues.
• Experience with Windows Server/Active Directory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player.
• Ability to work in a fast-changing environment; multi-tasking.
