Job summary

G2 Technology Solutions LLC is seeking a Senior Database Administrator/Developer to support a departmental metrics data warehouse on the VA contract. The role focuses on SQL Server administration, ETL using SSIS, and data quality, with responsibilities spanning performance tuning, security, and reporting.

The position requires 5+ years in SQL DB admin/development, strong SQL/T-SQL skills, and experience with SSIS, SSDT, and Power BI. Remote US-based work is available under the TPQI program.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SQL database administration, database development, data engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Relational database technologies and data normalization
• Microsoft SQL Server 2022 or higher
• Database backup and recovery
• Disaster recovery planning and execution
• Producing, reviewing, and updating system and procedural documentation
• Creating, tuning, and maintaining complex SQL queries
• Data warehouse architecture, design, and implementation
• Transact-SQL programming
• SSDT and SSIS familiarity
• BI reporting experience including Power BI

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the IETSS MM program.
• Analyze current and potential disparate data sources.
• Participate in data quality validation.
• Build, test, and troubleshoot SSIS packages and SSDT projects.
• Monitor and improve database performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot database issues in real time.
• Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries.
• Review and refine proposed database modifications.
• Support deployment activities across project phases.
• Perform regular database maintenance and occasional after-hours support.
• Assist in data visualizations and reporting with Power BI or similar tools.
