Job summary

IREN is seeking a Senior Technical Sourcing Manager, Thermal & Mechanical to lead commercial sourcing strategy for cooling equipment, chassis, and related hardware. You will negotiate MSAs/SOWs, conduct should-cost analyses, and partner with Engineering to align supplier roadmaps with cost, performance, and reliability goals.

This role demands high autonomy and cross-functional collaboration. The position emphasizes supplier management, cost control, and resilience for rapid AI datacenter

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in strategic sourcing or commodity management for data center/hardware.
• Autonomy in structuring sourcing strategy and negotiations.
• Proven record leading supplier negotiations and MSAs/SOWs.
• Strong should-cost, TCO, and pricing strategy experience.
• Familiarity with thermal/mechanical hardware and related components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own commercial sourcing strategy for thermal and mechanical commodities.
• Lead supplier selection, RFP/RFI/RFQ processes, and business awards.
• Negotiate MSAs/SOWs and pricing structures; apply should-cost/TCO models.
• Drive NPI cost negotiations through prototype to volume production ramp.
• Partner with Engineering to align supplier roadmaps with cost and performance requirements.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance through reviews.
• Inform strategy with market pricing intelligence; develop diverse sourcing options.
• Collaborate with Planning to translate capacity plans into commercial commitments.
• Act as autonomous commercial resource within platform sourcing.
