Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a senior backend engineer to help design and build scalable services for a broad set of communities. You will collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact features and maintain robust APIs.

You will contribute across the full development cycle, review code and design docs, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. A BS in CS or equivalent plus 3+ years in distributed systems is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of industry experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development in Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to execute strategy and build new features.
• Contribute to full development cycle: design, development, testing, experimentation, and deployment.
• Review code and design docs, provide feedback on specs and mocks.
