Job summary

DriveTime is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Tempe, AZ to drive multi‑year initiatives on cutting-edge tech. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack apps using Angular and .NET, work with product owners, and translate legacy workflows into modern APIs and services.

The role emphasizes building RESTful/GraphQL APIs, mentoring junior engineers, and improving reliability, observability, and security across systems. A strong background in Azure and DevOps is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full‑stack development with C# and .NET
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Hands‑on experience building scalable, distributed systems
• Strong experience developing APIs using RESTful and/or GraphQL
• Experience designing and working with event‑driven architectures
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including complex queries and stored procedures
• Proficiency with front-end development (Modern Angular, React, or Vue)
• Experience writing unit tests and maintaining quality codebases
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud services such as App Services, Functions, and Azure SQL
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full-stack applications using Angular and .NET
• Partnering with product owners and analysts to understand processes and dependencies
• Translating mainframe-era workflows into clean APIs and services
• Building and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs for front-end and back-end integration
• Creating Angular-based SPAs with focus on usability and performance
• Contributing to event-driven and workflow-oriented solutions, including asynchronous processing
• Writing clean, testable, maintainable code aligned with engineering practices
• Owning engineering solutions end-to-end and improving reliability and observability
• Ensuring applications meet security, performance, and compliance expectations
• Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior engineers
