Job summary

Target Technology Services is seeking a skilled on-call software engineer to own and improve end-to-end log ingestion into Google SecOps. You will design scalable ingestion pipelines, validate data, and collaborate across Threat Management, CSIRT, and Operations to deliver reliable, backward-compatible feeds.

You bring 3+ years of cloud-based development, strong Python skills, and a track record of debugging complex data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of software development and/or platform engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating systems in a cloud environment.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience parsing and validating logs in JSON/Syslog/CEF/CSV.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve end-to-end log ingestion into Google SecOps.
• Design scalable ingestion pipelines and data validation.
• Collaborate across Threat Management, Threat Detection & Operations, and CSIRT.
• Lead troubleshooting across log pipelines and SIEM integrations on a 24/7 rota.
• Build monitoring and alerting aligned to platform SLOs/SLAs.
• Improve telemetry quality and platform performance with automation.
