Job summary

Waystar is seeking a Sr. SDET I to lead automated testing efforts across web, API, and service layers. You will design and implement test strategies, develop and run automated scripts, and collaborate with engineering to ensure quality and data integrity.

Qualifications

Requires a Master’s OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 3+ years (Master’s) or 5+ years (Bachelor’s) of relevant experience.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts for web and API applications.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automated test strategies and frameworks for projects.
Lead the creation and maintenance of test plans, cases, and documentation.
Develop and execute functional, regression, usability, and load/performance tests.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
Validate data integrity with SQL and backend validation.
Oversee defect logging, tracking, and resolution across teams.
Guide teams in writing and maintaining automated scripts for web, API, and service layers.
Drive automation coverage and QA process improvements.
