Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Senior Technology Project Manager to oversee end-to-end management of high‑complexity SAP projects within the organization. You will collaborate with business and innovation leaders to ensure delivery aligns with goals and value, maintaining risk, scope, schedule, and financial controls.

This remote role may require travel for preparation and meetings. Candidates should have strong PM, SAP experience, and leadership skills to drive programs across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Required: Secondary School Confirmation or GED.
• Required: Master's level experience and extensive knowledge of project management.
• Preferred: Experience with SAP or leading SAP projects.
• Preferred: Change Management knowledge.
• Preferred: Vendor Management knowledge.
• Preferred: Experience performing project administration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale innovation projects/programs with Innovation Administrators and Leaders.
• Act as a project portfolio asset driving research, recommendations, decisions and communication.
• Define complex project charters or guides for multiple concurrent or singular projects, including scope, budget, and schedule.
• Partner with development and implementation teams to break work into smaller tasks and identify dependencies.
• Drive testing and acceptance of project or program deliverables across groups.
• Co-train and mentor other project managers.
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies proactively to ensure proper visibility and traction.
• Provide project dashboards and updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and teams to keep execution aligned.
• Coordinate relationships to leverage expertise, building client and business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-portfolio partners to design scope, enforce execution, and define success criteria.
• Perform other duties as delegated by the Manager.
