Job summary

SMX is seeking an experienced Senior SAC Architect to design and implement robust budgeting, planning, and reporting solutions for federal government clients. The role spans SAC Planning and custom JavaScript widgets, with data integrations to SAP and non-SAP sources.

You will lead architectural decisions, mentor team members, and partner with UX/UI designers to deliver scalable solutions. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a federal clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent).
• 8+ years designing and building Budgeting, Planning & Reporting solutions with 4+ years hands-on SAC Planning development.
• Technical lead or architect on at least two full lifecycle SAC Planning implementations.
• Expert-level SAC data modeling, data actions, stories, and analytical applications.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into solution architecture and design documents.
• Architect, build, test, and deploy SAC planning solutions (data models, data actions, multi actions, stories, analytical applications).
• Design and develop SAC custom widgets and advanced JavaScript extending SAC capabilities.
• Define data integrations between SAC and SAP S/4HANA, BW/HANA, SAP Datasphere, and non-SAP sources.
• Establish development standards, reusable components, and code reviews across environments.
• Serve as technical lead for customer demos and proofs of concept.
• Partner with UX/UI designers and other SAC developers on design feasibility.
