Job summary

SMX is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Architect to join our Solutions team. The role is remote, supporting a Washington, DC‑based customer, and requires U.S. citizenship and a federal clearance.

You will design, build, and implement robust budgeting, planning, and reporting solutions, including custom widgets and integrations with SAP and non‑SAP data sources. You will lead SAC projects end‑to‑end, mentor teammates, and collaborate with UX/UI to ensure scalable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years designing budgeting, planning & reporting solutions with 4+ years of hands-on SAC Planning development.
• Technical lead on at least two full lifecycle SAC Planning implementations.
• Expert SAC data modeling, data actions, stories & analytical applications.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; building SAC widgets or web components.
• Experience integrating SAC with SAP S/4HANA/BW/HANA.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to technical teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into solution architecture and design documents.
• Architect, build, test, and deploy SAC planning solutions including data models and stories.
• Design SAC custom widgets and advanced JavaScript to extend SAC capabilities.
• Define data integrations between SAC and source systems (SAP and non-SAP).
• Establish development standards, reusable components, and code reviews across multiple environments.
• Serve as technical lead for customer demos and proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and other SAC developers on feasibility.
