Job summary

CohnReznick, a leading national professional services firm, seeks a Senior Associate to join the Risk Advisory practice within Financial Services in New York. You will perform internal audit and SOX engagements for insurance clients, collaborate across service lines, and apply regulatory and risk expertise to deliver insights.

The role offers hybrid/work-from-home flexibility with occasional client-site travel; salary ranges from $85,000 to $140,000, plus the firm1s total rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Business, or related field.
• 2–4 years in public accounting, internal audit, risk advisory, or insurance risk/ compliance.
• Knowledge of COSO and audit methodologies.
• Insurance sector exposure or MAR/ORSA/regulatory familiarity is a plus.
• Pursuit of CPA/CIA/CISA/ARM/CPCU designation.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Execute internal audit and SOX engagements for insurance clients with testing and reporting support.
• Support MAR/NAIC compliance programs including scoping and remediation tracking.
• Contribute to enterprise risk management engagements and risk assessment work.
• Perform third-party risk assessments covering TPAs, reinsurers, and vendors.
• Assist with regulatory readiness and cyber insurance requirements.
• Support specialized insurance advisory work and AM Best assessments.
• Leverage AI-enabled audit workflows and data analytics for efficiency.
• Contribute to proposals and thought leadership for Financial Services.
• Build client relationships at staff and management levels.
