Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join a globally distributed team in a fully remote capacity. Lead reservoir characterization, build and calibrate models, and guide development strategies to maximize asset value across diverse projects.

You will leverage expertise in fluid properties, phase behavior, and uncertainty analysis to forecast production and optimize field development, collaborating with geoscientists and drilling professionals worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, CMG).
• Strong knowledge of fluid properties, phase behavior, and core analysis.
• Experience with uncertainty analysis and risk management in reservoir assessment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform reservoir characterization using geological, petrophysical, and engineering data.
• Develop and calibrate reservoir simulation models to forecast production and evaluate development scenarios.
• Analyze production data and well performance, identifying opportunities for EOR.
• Prepare economic evaluations and reserve estimates for oil and gas assets.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to optimize field development plans.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in reservoir engineering.
