Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or combination of education/experience.
• Work Experience: 7 years accounting, 3 years grants administration.
• Certifications/ Licenses: No specific license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees post award research administration for the School of Public Health.
• Monitors, analyzes, manages and prepares financial reports for faculty research portfolios.
• Monitors grant and department research accounts in Workday.
• Supervises and trains others in the submission of grant and contract proposals.
• May oversee the submission and post award activities of research or clinical trial studies.
• Responsible for research faculty and staff sourcing/payroll costing allocation in collaboration with Principal Investigators.
• Supervises the purchasing function, ensuring maximum utilization of funds.
• Communicates and administers all policies and procedures to faculty and staff.
• Monitors compliance of faculty and staff with internal and external policies for research.
• Maintains personnel records; oversees scheduling, evaluation processes and personnel issues.
• Reviews and screens job applications; conducts interviews, hires or recommends hires.
• Reviews non-academic appointments to ensure descriptions, titles and salaries are current.
• Implements procedures to ensure efficient workflow and staff training.
