Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking a Senior Reimbursement Analyst to support Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement activities and accurate financial reporting.

You will prepare the Medicare Cost Report, develop monthly settlement models, and serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory changes affecting reimbursement.

This role partners with Government Relations, Managed Care, Patient Financial Services, and external auditors to optimize funding and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related Field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare financial-related field, with hospital reimbursement experience strongly preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of hospital reimbursement experience.
• Experience with cost-based / PPS-exempt providers and cost report settlements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains the Medicare cost report and related documentation for accurate reimbursement.
• Builds and updates settlement and contractual allowance models reflecting payment changes.
• Monitors Medicare/Medicaid regulations and analyzes financial impact on reimbursement.
• Assesses Medicaid programs and intergovernmental transfers to optimize funding.
• Performs independent financial analysis for special reimbursement projects.
