Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare, Political Science/Pre-Law or equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years experience in health insurance, legal, compliance or related field required.
• Experience reviewing regulations and providing interpretation using audience-appropriate language.
• Experience in commercial health insurance and/or behavioral health managed care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, analyzes and interprets proposed or enacted legislation related to assigned product at federal/state level and communicates findings to impacted departments.
• Performs comprehensive regulatory analyzes and summarization of key regulatory updates for Commercial/ACA rules at state and federal level.
• Leads regulatory interpretation related to Commercial/ACA Rules and explains concepts clearly to various audiences.
• Develops trust-based relationships and collaborates with other functions to lead large projects and initiatives.
• Drafts responses to external information requests for regulatory filings and policy needs.
• Understanding regulations and business needs for multiple states and federal regulations pertaining to the commercial health insurance market.
