Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in real estate litigation.
• Proven track record of generating business and developing client relationships.
• Strong client-management and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage matters from pre-litigation through trial.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor junior attorneys.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serving as first chair on complex real estate litigation matters, with a focus on New York property owners and developers.
• Handling sophisticated commercial real estate disputes from inception through trial.
• Providing litigation expertise and strategic guidance to the firm's real estate transactional attorneys.
• Handling complex commercial, partnership, and joint venture disputes involving real property.
• Advising clients regarding real property, environmental, zoning, condemnation, commercial lease, and hospitality disputes.
• Managing client relationships and serving as a trusted strategic advisor.
• Supervising and mentoring mid-level and junior litigators.
• Developing new business and helping expand existing client relationships.
• Managing matters throughout the full litigation lifecycle, including pre-litigation counseling, discovery, motion practice, settlement, trial, and related proceedings.
