The ideal candidate has 15+ years of leadership in state health departments and related ecosystems, with a proven ability to inform policy and drive data-informed decisions remotely across the United States.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in public health grant strategy, executive advisory, and federal grant portfolio management within state or local health department environments.
• Proven track record of providing agency-wide strategic insight within state health agencies leveraging grant funding to sustain core public health operations.
• Demonstrated experience integrating Smartsheet architecture and PeopleSoft Financials with governance and workflow management.
• Deep knowledge of federal grant systems, 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance), and state regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Advise agency leadership on blending and braiding federal and state funding to build long-term capacity for public health.
• Design and digitize grant management workflows using Smartsheet interfacing with PeopleSoft controls.
• Develop executive dashboards and reporting to track grant performance, compliance, and drawdown timelines.
• Guide transitions from legacy spreadsheets to centralized automated systems for pre-award to post-award processes.
