Job summary

BambooHR is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to own the Agent Runtime—managing execution, governance, and instrumentation for AI agents across the BambooHR platform.

You will drive the legacy platform's architectural decisions, plan the migration to a new runtime, and shape intake, metering, and ownership processes for internal platform consumers. This role focuses on reliability, cross-team alignment, and scalable AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products.
• Technical depth in execution systems, workflows, or eventing.
• Experience as the product owner for internal platform consumers.
• Proven ability to drive alignment across teams without direct authority.
• Comfort with AI and agent systems.

Responsibilities

• Own product direction for the Agent Runtime and governance, with reliability as agent counts grow.
• Be the product lead on a legacy agent platform architectural decision.
• Oversee migration plan onto a new runtime, sequenced by consumer impact.
• Own agent governance as a product: trust framework across agent actions.
• Define and drive usage instrumentation and metering schema.
• Run intake and prioritization for teams building agents and publish guidance.
• Define boundary between platform agents and AI experiences, with stakeholder input.
• Coordinate how agents are triggered and what subscriptions are required.
