Job summary

Parallels is seeking a Sr. Corporate Counsel, Product and Compliance to partner with Product and Engineering in development and rollout of software products. You will provide practical, risk-balanced guidance across privacy, IP, and regulatory compliance to support product and commercial goals.

You will help build scalable legal programs, advise on export controls, and collaborate with a global legal team to ensure customer trust and compliant product design in a fully remote US setting.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 8+ years of legal experience preferred, with at least 5 in-house.
• Deep experience in software licensing, privacy, or security.

Responsibilities

• Embed as Product and Compliance counsel with Product and Engineering teams early in development.
• Create and operate legal and compliance review processes for software products and AI features.
• Translate evolving AI, privacy, IP, and regulatory requirements into product criteria and monitoring obligations.
• Advise on global trade, export controls, sanctions, and export classification.
