Job summary

AMTS is seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer to lead chemical and gas process design for cleanrooms and laboratories. This role supports remote work from the Phoenix area and may also be titled Life Safety Systems Design Engineer or Chemical/Gas Process Engineer depending on project focus.

You will provide technical leadership from programming through construction administration, collaborating with architects, lab planners, and MEP engineers to ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong writing skills in English for reports and memoranda.
• Knowledge of chemical and gases, purity requirements, and piping systems compatibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs for Processes and Equipment (Tools).
• Develop tool and HPM room layouts to support process and workflow needs and safe chemical handling.
• Perform or assist in design calculations to ensure adequate abatement and effluent treatment.
• Design facility process systems including Water Generation, Wastewater Treatment, UHPGas and chemical distribution systems.
• Develop EH&S plans for Cleanrooms, Labs, and hazardous materials handling.
