Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer, Manufacturing, to support the Global Supply Chain Supplier Management Team. This role is offered as a remote position.

Northrop Grumman Marine Systems develops missile launching and handling systems for naval vessels, with a focus on timely delivery, risk management, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to meet program milestones and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in supply chain, program management, or related field; Master’s +6 years also acceptable.
• 3+ years supporting U.S. Government contracts or large supplier management portfolios.
• 3+ years of EVMS or similar cost & schedule management experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading a program or major subcontract in supply chain/PM roles.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Manage and interpret supplier/subcontractor schedules to assess impact on program milestones.
• Develop and manage SMT RAIL/action item tracker for supplier communication and internal actions.
• Oversee supplier performance, open orders, delivery, and dock dates.
• Define and develop material strategy for on-time delivery.
• Manage subcontractor scope and changes to balance technical, cost, and schedule needs.
• Prepare SSOWs with stakeholders and support RFI/RFP responses.
