Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Solutions Architect Sr Principal for a DoW enterprise Zero Trust program. You will analyze operations, model systems with MBSE, and shape roadmaps while ensuring DoDAF/UAF compliance across multiple views.

You will lead architecture development, coordinate Agile/SAFe activities, and implement scalable platform frameworks with strong information security focus. Remote work and 10–25% travel are required.

Qualifications

• Analyze system operations and performance.
• Model systems using OMG frameworks (UML/DoDAF/UPDM/SysML/UAF).
• Present across capability, operational, system and functional views.
• Familiar with UML modeling tools and stakeholder workshops.
• Extend UML models to other tools via APIs/frameworks.
• Experience with executable models (fUML preferred).
• Ability to generate data and reports for program metrics.
• Demonstrate strong customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and refine existing infrastructure and services for modernization and security.
• Partner with customers to shape IT strategies for DoW missions.
• Shape enterprise architecture roadmaps and ensure DoDAF/UAF compliance.
• Develop as-is and to-be architectures emphasizing scalability and extensibility.
• Support enterprise Agile/SAFe activities.
• Lead MBSE-driven architecture development for the enterprise.
• Define digital platform frameworks and best practices for the Architecture team.
• Implement platforms under automated configuration management.
• Provide in-depth information security knowledge.
• Develop data framework architecture for program metrics.
