Job summary

edb is seeking a senior technical partner to guide large, complex customers in PostgreSQL and related data technologies. You will manage relationships with senior technology leaders, provide architecture guidance, and lead projects to implement effective database strategies.

The role combines consulting, troubleshooting, and cross-product coordination, with travel up to 25% and a remote work setup. Strong communication skills with C-level stakeholders are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or another comparable relational database platform.
• Advanced knowledge of data management systems, operating systems, cloud technologies, and technical architecture.
• Familiarity with data analytics and artificial intelligence or machine learning concepts.
• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project-management skills, with the ability to balance competing customer priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence working with C-level technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships with senior customer technical stakeholders and provide trusted-advisor guidance.
• Help customers increase the value of their PostgreSQL investments and plan practical adoption strategies.
• Lead technical direction for major database initiatives, including solution consulting, architecture decisions, and project coordination.
• Maintain broad knowledge of the available data management products and use that knowledge to address customer questions and challenges.
• Provide front-line guidance on recommended practices for developing, deploying, and operating database solutions.
• Capture customer needs and communicate clear, constructive feedback to product management teams.
