Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to architect, optimize, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL environments in a remote-capable setup. You will ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across large-scale cloud database systems.

Responsibilities include designing HA PostgreSQL architectures on AWS RDS/Aurora, tuning queries and indexes, managing backup and failover, and automating maintenance workflows while supporting migrations and operational

Qualifications

5+ years of production PostgreSQL experience.
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and replication.
Experience managing large-scale, high-traffic databases.
Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud-native environments.
Experience with data platforms, ETL, analytics workloads, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Design and manage highly available PostgreSQL architectures on AWS RDS and Aurora.
Optimize queries, indexes, partitioning, and overall database performance.
Manage backup, replication, recovery, and failover processes.
Troubleshoot slow queries, locks, deadlocks, and bottlenecks.
Automate database maintenance and reliability workflows.
Support data migrations, application scaling, and operational improvements.
Maintain clear technical documentation.
