Job summary

LiveKit in San Francisco is hiring its first Product Manager for Telephony. You will define the telephony roadmap, partnering with engineering to decide what to build and when, from SIP trunking to LiveKit Phone Numbers.

This role supports global expansion and carrier relationships, shaping the fastest, highest-quality voice path for developers. You’ll work cross-functionally with customers, carriers, and internal teams to understand production needs, quantify impact, and drive pricing,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management, senior or staff level.
• Technical depth to reason about protocols, latency, and call quality.
• Reliability mindset when uptime and quality are critical.
• Clear, trustworthy cross-functional influence.
• Customer-focused and able to translate needs into a roadmap.
• Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-growing team.

Responsibilities

• Own the telephony roadmap and define what gets built and when with engineering.
• Meet enterprises where they are; enable easy integration with SIP/trunking or porting.
• Take native telephony global and expand coverage and compliance.
• Deeply understand how teams run phone-based agents to shape priorities.
• Own pricing, packaging, and margins as the footprint grows.
