Job summary

MeridianLink is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Platform Services team. You will own federated identity, authorization, and shared services across MeridianLink products, with emphasis on AI-assisted development workflows and multi-tenant security.

You will collaborate with product teams, design robust APIs, and mentor peers while delivering production-ready backend services in C# and Python for a scalable SaaS platform. Remote-friendly role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering features and infrastructure in production.
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, automated testing, and modern scripting languages.
• Active daily use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing federated identity systems with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, and/or JWT in production.
• Understanding of authorization frameworks and multi-tenant SaaS patterns.
• Proficiency in C# and Python for backend development with modern APIs.
• Knowledge of identity protocol mechanics and SSO behavior.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and extend platform services that manage federated identity and authorization across MeridianLink products.
• Maintain integrations with the centralized identity platform (FusionAuth) including token handling and tenant configuration.
• Support product teams through integration, debugging edge cases in multi-tenant identity behavior.
• Create tooling, documentation, and examples to enable self-service integrations.
• Design and maintain backend services in C# and Python exposing versioned APIs.
• Collaborate on API design and ensure contract stability for consuming teams.
• Adopt AI-assisted engineering practices and share learnings with the team.
