Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC in the United States is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to lead an enterprise-wide performance engineering function across web, mobile, kiosk, POS, loyalty, and payments systems. You will design and execute load, stress, and endurance tests using JMeter, k6, or similar tools, and integrate validation into Azure DevOps pipelines.

You will collaborate with SRE and DevOps on chaos experiments, drive AI-assisted planning and triage, and define performance-readiness criteria

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in performance engineering or non-functional testing at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or OctoPerf.
• Experience with observability and cloud monitoring platforms (e.g., Dynatrace).
• Proven ability to integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on cloud engineering experience (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and validating AI outputs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder leadership with business impact translation.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise Performance Engineering charter as a shared service and establish SDLC performance-readiness standards.
• Design, script, execute, and report performance tests across high-volume flows (ordering, kiosk, POS, loyalty, payments).
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks across app, database, messaging, and infrastructure layers using observability signals (e.g., Dynatrace).
• Embed automated performance validation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) with baseline and threshold gating.
• Partner with SRE/DevOps to define reliability targets and run chaos-engineering experiments.
• Define performance-readiness criteria and provide evidence-based go/no-go release recommendations.
• Integrate AI-assisted workflows into planning, test-design, and results triage with guardrails.
