Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Technical Developer to design, build, test, and deploy student planning tools as upgrades to the Campus Solutions 9 environment. The role covers degree planner, schedule builder, and self-service portal enhancements for students, advisors, and faculty across CCC campuses.

The developer will join the SAILS project team, work with Academic Systems, and deliver upgrade-safe solutions with a modern, mobile-friendly experience.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in a technical PeopleSoft role including analysis, configuration, programming, and administration.
• Five or more years programming and troubleshooting with PeopleTools 8.5x or higher: App Designer, PeopleCode, App Engine, SQR, BI Publisher, CI, and Integration Broker.
• Hands-on Campus Solutions experience in higher education: Advisement, Student Records, Enrollment, Class Schedule, Campus Community.
• Fluid UI development: Fluid pages, Event Mapping, Page and Field Configurator, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• SQL (Oracle) for analysis, debugging, and development.
• Web services and integrations: Integration Broker, REST, JSON.
• Full SDLC experience with requirements, fit/gap, testing, deployment; source control and defect tracking.
• Ability to document technical and business requirements and explain concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy student planning tools within CS9 environment.
• Collaborate with CCC Academic Systems analysts and SAILS Project team.
• Ensure upgrade-safe customization and maintainable code within CCC standards.
• Create and maintain technical and user support documentation.
