Job summary

Creation Technologies seeks an experienced PCB Layout & DFM Engineer to drive manufacturability and production readiness across the organization. You will lead complex PCB designs and establish DFM methodologies to meet IPC standards and production goals.

Remote work is possible with a strong preference for candidates in Toronto, Canada or Denver, USA to collaborate with global teams and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical expertise accepted.
• 10+ years PCB layout experience in a manufacturing or electronics development environment.
• 5+ years supporting PCB fabrication, PCBA assembly, or DFM activities.
• Extensive experience designing multilayer, high-density PCB layouts from schematics.
• Experience with PCB EDA tools; mainly Altium; familiarity with Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or PADS.

Responsibilities

• Perform DFM analysis on circuit card assemblies (~75% of time).
• Lead DFM and DFA assessments for PCBAs.
• Use Siemens Valor NPI or related tools for manufacturability analysis.
• Develop and improve DFM rule sets aligned with IPC standards and fabrication capabilities.
• Review Gerber, ODB++, BOM, centroid, and fabrication data packages for manufacturability.
• Lead DFM review meetings with manufacturing, process engineering, quality, and customers.
