Job summary

Arnold & Porter Llp is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to oversee the accurate processing of U.S. payrolls. The role requires managing multi-state payroll compliance, year-end reporting, and payroll-related reconciliations while working closely with Human Resources and Accounting. Candidates should have at least 8 years of relevant payroll experience, proficiency in payroll platforms like UKG, and advanced Excel skills. This position allows for remote work and includes a salary range of $63,680 to $90,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive payroll experience required.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred.
• CPP certification preferred; FPC certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing of all U.S. payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and approve employee tax elections, direct deposit changes, deductions, and final pay.
• Support payroll audits and maintain internal controls and audit-ready payroll records.
