Altasciences in Sacramento is seeking a Senior NHP Resource & Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, procurement, and inventory management of non-human primates for preclinical studies. You will coordinate with veterinary, scientific, and operations teams to ensure robust supply chains.

This role requires 5+ years in procurement or preclinical operations, familiarity with AWA/USDA/GLP/IACUC, and a focus on data accuracy and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in procurement or preclinical operations.
• Experience with laboratory animals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure NHPs from domestic and international suppliers.
• Manage vendor contracts, pricing, and performance.
• Forecast supply and mitigate procurement risks.
• Coordinate import/export and quarantine logistics.
• Ensure compliance with AWA, USDA, GLP, and IACUC.
• Maintain animal inventory systems and data accuracy.
• Support audits and regulatory readiness.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
