Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Network Contract Manager to lead hospital contract negotiations, develop financially sound network pricing, and guide unit cost performance. You will partner with CEOs of multiple lines of business to build broad access networks while maintaining compliance with templates and controls.

You’ll work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., travel up to 25% to PA/DE as needed, and report to the Network Contracting team to drive strategic pricing and forecasting

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a network management-related role handling complex network providers with accountability for business results
• 3+ years in an external facing role representing the organization with clients/vendors/government officials
• 3+ years in provider contracting including development of product pricing and financial modeling for rate decisions
• 2+ years in health system contracting
• Strong financial acumen and ability to read financial models and trends

Responsibilities

• Manage hospital contract negotiations to meet unit cost budgets and financial models
• Guide development of geographically competitive, broad access networks
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts per company templates and reimbursement standards
• Set team direction and provide guidance to team members
• Partner with executives on forecasting and planning activities
• Build relationships with hospital leadership to support contracting initiatives
