Job summary

SAIC is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to join our Network Team. You will design, deploy, and optimize a high-traffic, carrier-grade network infrastructure in a remote role with travel.

You will lead complex troubleshooting, drive network modernization, and implement automation using Python or Ansible. A Top-Secret clearance and hands-on experience with large-scale data centers are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in network engineering with service provider or data center experience.
• Active Top-Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience with carrier-class networks and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and maintain high-performance IP networks (MPLS, IP/Ethernet).
• Provide Tier 3/4 escalation support and RCA for outages.
• Manage BGP/OSPF/ISIS routing and traffic engineering.
• Deploy CGNAT for IPv4/IPv6 transition, AAA/RADIUS infra.
• Automate provisioning and operations with Python/Ansible/Terraform.
• Ensure security standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS) and DDoS protection.
• Create detailed network diagrams, MOPs, and docs.
