Job summary

SAIC is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to architect, deploy, and optimize a carrier-grade network infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex outages, ensure security, and drive modernization across L0-L3 with SDN automation.

Required are 5–15+ years in provider/large data-center environments, extensive TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF/ISIS experience, and hands-on hardware in carrier-grade platforms. This remote role includes travel.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Network Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's with 10+ years.
• 5+ years provisioning carrier-class networks; experience in service provider or large-scale data centers.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architecture, design, deployment, and optimization of high-traffic IP networks.
• Provide Tier 3/4 escalation support and conduct root-cause analyses.
• Manage BGP/OSPF/ISIS routing with traffic engineering and peering.
• Operate CGNAT for IPv4/IPv6 transition and manage AAA/RADIUS infrastructure.
• Develop automation using Python or Ansible for provisioning and MOPs.
• Ensure security and compliance with ISO27001/PCI-DSS; document diagrams and MOPs.
