Job summary

Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to operate in a field-based role across a defined US territory. The MSL will engage Healthcare Practitioners and Key Opinion Leaders, delivering scientifically rigorous information and gathering insights to inform medical strategy.

The ideal candidate has an MD/PhD/PharmD and clinical experience or a track record as an MSL, with strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD with clinical expertise or MSL experience.
• Experience in rare diseases or hematology/transplant is a plus.
• Strong communication and scientific presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage HCP relationships and engage identified HCPs and KOLs.
• Develop HCP engagement plans aligned with medical strategy.
• Disseminate scientific information to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Travel within territory and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
