Job summary

Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Medical Science Liaison for the Appalachia region.

The role focuses on scientific exchange, supporting Rigel’s oncology products for metastatic breast cancer and lung cancer, with responsibility for KY, TN, NC, AR, MS, LA. Travel is extensive and the MSL will partner with medical affairs and cross-functional teams. The candidate will build KOL networks, support publications and advisory boards, and provide up-to-date medical information to healthcare

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree required; RN/NP/PA considered with strong relevant clinical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years as a medical science liaison in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or relevant clinical experience in hematology/oncology.
• Clinical or pharmaceutical industry experience in hematology (ITP, AML) or oncology (NSCLC) is required.
• Well-established networks with hematologists/oncologists preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Word and Excel; cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with regional medical experts.
• Maintain a database of KOLs and key HCPs for the geography.
• Collaborate with medical affairs on publications, investigator-sponsored research and advisory boards.
• Serve as a scientific resource to KOLs and medical community with up-to-date information.
• Support site identification, trial recruitment and investigator-initiated research as needed.
• Travel to meetings and conferences; coordinate scientific opportunities across teams.
